DAY 1 : Errachidia - Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Camel trek and Night at Merzouga desert camp
Your driver will pick you up from your hotel in Errachidia on the first day of your 3 days desert trip from Errachidia to Merzouga at 9:00 a.m. You’ll stop for a panoramic view of Ziz Valley, Morocco’s second-longest and one of its most stunning valleys, before continuing on to merouga.
If you want to visit a nearby studio that makes fossil crafts, the road to the Erg Chebbi dunes continues past Aoufous and Erfoud, a town famous for its fossils and the site of an annual festival. You will next proceed to Merzouga Dunes, also known as Erg Chebbi, which are breathtaking dunes.
Arriving at the hotel and get ready for an hour and a half camel ride to the sunset so you may take pictures, try sandboarding, and enjoy the scenery. Once the sun has fallen, your camel ride will lead you to the desert camp, where you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea, a sumptuous dinner, and Berber drumming music before spending the night under a sky filled with brilliant stars.
